Temple Emanu-El is a synagogue community and a center of Jewish life in Hawaii. Its members are dedicated to the religious and ethical values of Judaism. In perpetuating itself, the Temple is committed to worshiping God, studying Torah, the pursuit of Jewish education, promoting Jewish identity, enhancing Jewish life and pursuing social justice.
Temple Emanu-El is Hawaii's largest affiliated Union of Reform Judaism (URJ) Jewish congregation, the largest movement in Reform Judaism. In addition to providing reform Jewish services, the Temple is also a venue for Jewish and Israeli culture. We house the School of Jewish Studies, which is our supplementary (Sunday) school for Judaica and Hebrew for children in grades K-8.
