Membership
Temple Emanu-El's members are dedicated to the religious and ethical values of Judaism. The Temple is committed to worshiping God, studying Torah, pursuing Jewish education, promoting Jewish identity, enhancing Jewish life and pursuing social justice.
Temple Emanu-El is affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism (URJ). We provide a venue for Jewish culture, a school for Jewish Studies, and serve as a hub to bring community together, for connection and celebration.
Membership to Temple Emanu-El is an invitation for a seat in the sanctuary, and so much more. It is having a safe and enjoyable place to be, it is helping to create a place that accepts differences, and a place that embraces and celebrates those differences. Being a member means being an integral part of the community, giving back to the community, and making friends who become family. Temple Emanu-El is special because of the members who work to create and uphold this incredible place.
As a Member of Temple Emanu-El, you:
- have a Jewish home on Oahu on the Pali
- have a seat to enjoy the High Holy Days with your family
- can vote and participate in congregational decisions
- have the opportunity to volunteer your service and influence the Oahu Jewish community
- can sign up for our School of Jewish Studies classes, including B-mitzvah training
- are granted early access to reserve tickets for our Passover Seder
- have access to clergy for counseling and lifecycle events
- gain knowledge and can participate in events that celebrate our Jewish way of life
- belong to an embracing community where ALL are welcome
