We are delighted to be making great progress on our rabbinic search process and are optimistic that it will soon be drawing to a close. We know you are eager to hear specifics, and we will share more details and information as soon as it is appropriate to do so. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this confidential phase of the process.
According to Temple Emanu-El’s bylaws, once contract terms have been mutually agreed upon between the Rabbi and the Board of Trustees, the Rabbi’s name and the contract terms will be submitted to the congregation for approval at a special meeting (date and time to be determined).
Notice of the special meeting will be sent to Temple Emanu-El members at least 15 days prior to the meeting. The election of the rabbi requires approval by a two-thirds vote of at least half of eligible voters, and results will be announced at the special meeting.
