Virtual Hanukkah 2020 Events*

Join us online for events every night of Hanukkah!
Events (excluding those taking place on Zoom) will be streamed via Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/TempleEhonolulu/live).

• On the first night of Hanukkah…Thursday, December 10 at 6:00 PM-  Rabbi Ken and the rest of the Diamond-Aronowitz family invite you to light the Hanukkah Menorah and offer blessings upon Kelvin Aronowitz as he embarks on a semester of study in Israel!
• On the second night of Hanukkah…Friday, December 11 at 7:00 PM- Celebrate Shabbat Hanukkah Service with Rabbi Ken, “Cantor Jonathon,” and sign language interpreter Jan Fried. Service will also stream on Shaloha.com.
• On the third night of Hanukkah…Saturday, December 12-
  • 6:30 PM-“Hanukkah Pajamakah:” Families with young keiki are invited to don their favorite pajamas as staff members from our School of Jewish Studies share stories over Zoom that are perfect for a wintry Hanukkah night!

  • 7:30 PM- A Hanukkah Havdalah with Rabbi Ken: Say shaloha to Shabbat and welcome the third night of Hanukkah on Facebook live.
• On the fourth night of Hanukkah…Sunday, December 13 at 7:00 PM- “Holmes for the Holiday:” After an amazing performance for Simchat Torah, we are pleased to welcome back talented clarinetist, flutist and saxophonist Rocky Holmes. Don’t miss what promises to be an awesome evening of Hanukkah and other music!

• On the sixth night of Hanukkah… “Terumah: Giving a Hanukkah Gift to Temple Emanu-El” Tuesday, December 15 at 6:05 PM-TheTemple Emanu-El Board of Trustees will light the Hanukkah Menorah and explain how to give an end-of-year gift to support our wonderful community.
• On the seventh and eighth Nights of Hanukkah…“Lighting Up the Night” Wednesday, December 16 & Thursday December 17 at 6:00 PM- Temple Emanu-El President and artist Jackie Mild-Lau presents her magnificent display of Hanukkah lights!
